“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” (Ephesians 6:10-11)

Paul is encouraging the Church at Ephesus in today’s verse.  He is reminding them to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.  He continues on with telling them that they have the “whole armour of God” at their disposal and that they just really need to remember that they do not need to go it alone.

Later in this same chapter Paul gives them a list of the “full armour” in verses 14-17 as this related post from January notes: Weapons for the Wresting Match.  As I wrote then, I remind you now, when we listen to the Holy Spirit and use His weapons that are readily available to us He wins every time.  He is the power that overcomes!

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Eph 6:12)
