It’s all good

Amos did a lot to warn the nation of Israel that God was not enjoying all the “stuff” that they were doing.

By Pamela Rose Williams

“Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken. Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.” (Amos 5:14-15)

Amos did a lot to warn the nation of Israel that God was not enjoying all the “stuff” that they were doing.  They were most interested in being “increased with goods, and having need of nothing” … while all the time in God’s eyes they were “wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:” (Rev 3:17).

Amos was used of God to “knock on their door” (Rev 3:20) and tell them what God wanted.

God wants us to stand on His word.  Over the last decade, as a nation have we done that?  Have we hated evil and loved the good?  For example, not long ago I read a report that New York City’s abortion rate is 41%. That is astounding!

Do we hate the evil when we allow the murder of innocent babies?

Are we too busy with our little projects like save the whales to remember to save the babies?

Are we slowly changing the truth of God into a lie and worshiping the creature more than the Creator? (Rom 1:25).

Love the good and stand on the Word.  Hate the evil and be active in protecting God’s precious Creation. Tell them what God wants. It’s not all good … call the evil what it is and SPEAK UP for the little ones who can not speak for themselves
