Lemonade or Sweet Tea

Lemonade or Sweet Tea

We love a refreshing glass of lemonade and I have perfected the process! Follow this recipe and you are sure to have the perfect glass of lemonade.

Lemonade Ingredients:

  • 1 plus 1/4 Cup of simple syrup*
  • 1 Cup real lemon concentrate
  • Very cold water
  • ice
  • fresh lemon and lime slices for garnish (optional)

*simple syrup – in a small sauce pan heat 1 Cup of water plus 1 Cup of sugar.  Heat until dissolved and it will yield 1 plus 1/4 cup of simple syrup.  This is the preferred method because sugar is very hard to dissolve in cold water.

Fill a 1/2 gallon pitcher about 3/4 way with ice cubes.  Add the cool simple syrup and lemon juice.  Fill pitcher til full with very cold water.  Garnish with fresh lemon and lime slices to make it pretty.

Sweet Tea:  Follow instruction above substituting water with strongly brewed and cooled tea.
