Positive Every Day Stories from Hurricane Harvey

By Pamela Rose Williams

Hurricane Harvey hit the Texas coast at Rockport, Texas as a Category 4 storm in August 2017. He brought high winds and flood waters to many Texas coastal cities. Harris county in Texas took a hard hit including the city of Houston which is said to be the home to over six million people (in the metro area). The flooding was tremendous and it will go down in history as one of the worse floods in the history of the United States.

I have family in a suburb of Houston as well as in Austin and am thankful to report that they are safe. I have social media to thank for the conduit to get the word out as well as a sister down there that is a great communicator and loyal reporter to her family and friends. I pray for continued safety and that the Lord releases them from this disaster in time to replenish food and supplies when needed.

This is Every Day News and as can be expected there is no shortage of news stories, social media posts and conversations about all of the death and destruction from this natural catastrophe. That being said, I decided it was time for a post that shares some links to the positive stories and the “good” that has been reported during and after the storm. I pray that it brightens your day and that you are able to offer some prayers of thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father for His provision even in the most dire of circumstances.
