THE BIBLE’s Success & Sneak Peek of Episode 2

As you probably know by now, THE BIBLE mini-series premiered on The History Channel Sunday, March 3rd.  What you may not know is that it stood as the #1  show on television on that day – beating everything from “The Walking Dead” to “Downton Abbey” to co-Executive Producer Mark Burnett’s own “Celebrity Apprentice.”  Burnett and his wife and production partner, Roma Downey, thanked the nation for making the show’s premiere on HISTORY the No. 1 cable event of the year with more than 14.8 million viewers and marveled that discussion of Scripture was taking place all across the nation.

“We have received emails all day from people who had not thought about these stories in years,” Downey said. “They are the foundation of our faith, they are the foundation of our laws and they are the foundation of this nation.”

The second episode which will air this Sunday, March 10 @ 8/7 Central on The History Channel features the popular Bible characters Saul, Sampson, and David.
