At Your Name

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

The name for God, Yahweh is originally from the Hebrew YHWH and in our Bible today it is mostly translated to LORD. This is the name of God that is used most in the Bible. Sometimes it is even translated as Jehovah. Some of the Scriptures that include the original YHWH are:

Psalms 105:1 ( KJV ) 1 O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

Psalms 116:13 ( KJV ) 13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.

Psalms 135:13 ( KJV ) 13 Thy name, O LORD, endureth for ever; and thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations.

Written by Phil Wickham and Tim Hughes, the worship song “At Your Name” is one of the greatest worship songs out today. I love Phil’s voice as he sings to Yahweh. He claims the following verse as the inspiration of this song:

Isaiah 42:8 ( KJV ) I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

Here is a video for you – Praise His name!
