One in Four

This information recently came into my inbox at Christianity Every Day. It is from Americans United for Life (AUL). I just wanted to share with our readers.

The United States is only one of four nations in the world that allows abortion through all nine months of pregnancy for any reason, along with Canada, China and North Korea.

When it comes to our abortion policies, the United States is radical.

And, women and children are the victims. Did you know that a woman seeking an abortion at five months (20 weeks) is 35 times more likely to die from the abortion than she was in the first trimester?

Big Abortion does not want women to know this. But AUL is seeking to expose the truth with our “Women’s Health Defense Act,” which would ban abortion after five months of pregnancy to protect both the child and the mother.

The fact that pro-abortion politicians actually oppose such a sensible and humane measure is outrageous.

But take heart, we are making great progress. Thanks to supporters like you, AUL has developed the most comprehensive Mother-Child strategy in the pro-life movement today. And we have seen great success. In fact, AUL was involved in enacting one-third of all pro-life laws since 2010.

That equals thousands upon thousands of women and children saved from the destruction of abortion. But so many more women and children are at risk—at risk of death—even today as we confront Big Abortion’s lies.

We urgently need to move forward in helping women and children. We cannot waste any time.

We can do better than China and North Korea, and together we will create a nation where all are welcomed in life and protected in law.
