Movin’ My Body Monday

Today is the day that I begin reviewing Debra Mazda’s ShapelyGirl Fitness Let’s Get Moving DVD. It is not just a review … it is a DO & REVIEW. I have agreed to do the program for the entire month of October — I am just one of 27 other ladies that are also members of Christian Women Affiliate (CWA) on the CWA ShapelyGirl Custom Crew  working out to Debra’s DVDs.

I have been looking for a way to take better care of my body and I know it starts with a regular exercise plan. I love the message that Debra Mazda conveys … this is not just a workout plan; she knows that fitness comes in many sizes. I happen to be one of those big sizes! Debra says that she created The ShapelyGirlTM Workout “as a safe, fun and energizing program for women of all sizes to move, breathe and feel great.” Her mission is to help other women to find the same success that she did more than 20 years ago when she got up and started moving and lost 140 pounds in the process. She has created as a forum for women to offer each other a helping hand as we work toward a goal of health and well-being.

I believe this is it! That thing that is going to get me moving and taking better care of my body. God put me here on this planet to honor Him, I want to do that by taking care of this body that He gave me. The better my fitness, the longer I will live to spread His word to a sick and dying world.

Since this is my first post, and since I want to show my progress as I review this DVD (working out at least 3 times a week with it during the month of October), today I share my beginning measurements and weight. Debra recommends that we chart these things so here goes:

Weight = 241,  Right arm = 18,   Left arm = 18,  Chest = 47 1/2,

Waist = 45,  Abs = 40,  Hips = 53 1/2,  Right thigh = 30 1/4, Left thigh = 30

I claim my life verse as my “power verse” for this project and pray that this is just the beginning of a new routine that will make for a more fit and healthy me.
