Someone Worth Dying For

Music Video: I want to encourage you with this video about all of those issues of life, the struggles, doubts, heartaches and everything else we experience here on Earth.

Sometimes we have those days where we feel so unworthy of the amazing and unconditional love that our Heavenly Father has for us.  This song by Mike’s Chair might hit home with you today. You might be in that place right now, the wife who waits up at night for her husband who does not come home. The man working so hard and still struggling to provide for your family because the economy does not allow your employer to give you that raise that you deserve. You feel like you are in a hopeless battle. Maybe you are a young person, out on your own trying to make the right choices so that you can have an abundant life. Or perhaps you are that one who prays and prays and are unsure if God ever hears your prayer.

I want to encourage you with this video about all of those issues of life, the struggles, doubts, heartaches and everything else we experience here on Earth. Listen to it and then continue reading.

God does care about you and you are someone worth dying for. Take a look at a couple of the things that God’s word says about that:

But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts. (Psalms 22:9)

Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. (Psalms 45:7)

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. (Jeremiah 29:11)

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. (Romans 5:5-7)

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. (1 Thessalonians 4:14)

And that is only a small portion of what the Bible says. Jesus died for the world and that means that you ARE someone worth dying for. I pray that you are able to believe that God loves you so much that He gave His only begotten Son to pay your sin debt. This message of hope is for every believer. Claim that hope in Him. Look to the eternal and fix your eyes upon Jesus and you will know that you have eternal life.

16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

~ 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
