Fruity Coleslaw

Not everyone loves coleslaw, but I promise this is one you have to try.  It starts with basic ingredients and then you can pick and choose what else to add.

Ingredients (basic):

  • 2 cups chopped (or shredded) raw green cabbage
  • 1 chopped crispy apple (golden crisp or gala are good)
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/4 – 1/2 cups Marzetti slaw dressing (or make your own: Marzetti’s Twin)
  • fresh flat-leaf parsley (garnish)

Put all ingredients into medium bowl and mix together.  Chill for at least 30 minutes for the juices to come out.  Mix again before serving. Garnish with some fresh flat-leaf parsley.

Optional ingredients:

1/4 cup chopped walnuts

chopped mandarin oranges

chopped carrots

chopped red cabbage

marshmallows

shredded coconut

pineapple
